So this week was a little harder. I wish I had my journal with me but lets see. We had Zone Meetings on Wednesday and Friday. President Daines was there and we were really excited because we thought we were getting I pads, but that wasn't the case. The Zone Meeting hit me a lot. It was like conference where you write down question and you will get answered. I am having a hard time because I don't know how to talk to people all that well. I thought being here I would immediately be able to talk to all kinds of random people but that isn't the case. I found out that you have to work at things and they won't just happen. You got to step out of your comfort zone and let the Holy ghost be you guide. We set goals to achieve and we had to report back on those same goals.
The goals were SET... EXTEND 2 BAPTISM, 3 SECOND BAPTISM INVITES (TEMPLE WORK) 20 CONTACTS, 3 NEW PEOPLE WHO WOULD LIKE TO HEAR ABOUT THE GOSPEL 4 REFERRALS. We worked hard had some frustrating conversation but we now have 2 people on date, we tried to get 3 people to the temple but they said they couldn't and then contacted 17 people. I got the door slammed in my face so that's when we went home because it was late and cold. We got 3 referrals and got 2 new people who were interested in hearing our message. I won't lie I was feeling down. But when I read my blessing, prayed, read the scripture, and thought about why I am out here, I know That I am here for a specific reason, and I am sorry that this is going to sound cheesy, but you will just have to bare with me.
MY PURPOSE IS TO INVITE OTHERS UNTO CHRIST, BY HELPING THEM RECEIVE THE RESTORED GOSPEL THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST AND HIS ATONEMENT, REPENTANCE, BAPTISM, RECEIVING THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST AND ENDURING TO THE END.
I Know that the gospel blesses us in so many ways and I know that we can return to God once again. I love you all and I hope you know you all mean the world to me. See you next week.
